A Step Backwards

Posted by J. Reynolds on Thursday, May 6, 2010 Under: Career Transition to Publishing
Hello, Fellow Career Transition-ers:

Okay, I wish I'd had the foresight, wherewithal, energy and courage to begin this blog two-plus years ago when I was laid off from my job. Job? Really it was a life-career of over 25 years in finance/management/advertising. To say I was shocked to get the news is at the very least, lacking and insufficient in describing the full range of emotions I experienced. The journey to where I am today can best be described as very bumpy, but as I look back, the process makes sense.

I won't bother pouring through the details of the last two years in this post--way too long and today I'm not up to bringing it all to the surface and bawling uncontrollably on my keyboard. But I will try to sprinkle future posts with some of those details in the coming days, weeks and months. And as I talk about the books--how the stories come to me, the illustrations and my love of drawing/painting, marketing and my learning-curve experience as an accidental Indy publisher, I hope to relay information that is both helpful and inspiring to other career transition-ers.

Today, I'm happy to announce that E-book versions of my two childrens adventure books are now available on Amazon.com, Smashwords.com and very soon at Barnesandnobles.com and Kobobooks.com.

You can preview E-book pages of these adventure titles by clicking: Swish and the Raptor and Bitty and the Guardian of Sespria or follow this link to my website: Thomas Lee Publishing.

Best!
Till the next time.
